After drawing the four faces, we moved on to observational ear drawing. I thoroughly enjoyed this! After such quick experimental tasks from the faces, it was easier to focus on detail and portray that through my drawing. I used two different colours rather than one single colour to show the difference between light and shadow within my work, also there are so many lines within the ear which are extremely hard to capture, using the black I was able to show these lines through the element of shading and toning different areas.
This is such a good ear, The use of colour gives it a nice contrast rather than most peoples using just pencil x
ReplyDeleteYour ear study is really successful. The shapes within the ear are highlighted through your use of two-tone. It reminds me of the inside of a muscle (shellfish). Good work!
