After a lot of planning and some confusion, I was able to get started on creating my final piece. I used brown paper, cardboard and a glue gun. For the top of the shoulder pad I created a shape which was both unique yet comfortably fitting around the shoulder for the ease of my model. I added triangular spikes at the top to emphasize a cutting edge type of look. The giant shoulder pad idea was inspired by 80s fashion. Due to the recent craze of the past in fashion and art culture I wanted to incorporate that into my own work as well. Below the shoulder pad I created leaf like shapes, creasing them in the middle to make them look more like feathers; by doing so I aimed to add a more flowing and elegant look to it's edgy upper counterpart also.
When editing my photographs I used a simple black and white filter to emphasize the obscurity of the piece. Many fashion magazines also use black and white photographs for their designs, these look mor professional and stand out.
These photos look really dynamic, I like the different angles you have used, and the shoulder piece itself could be an actual garment - the detail looks very intricate and professional, and I think that the design is innovative
