Using a spade I dug a hole in the compost, not too big as I wanted to be able to find it easily when I take out my time capsule again. I picked an area around so many plants as I wanted to see want might grow over it and how this would change the appearance of the shell itself, e.g. the colour, and if it would develop some sort of purpose like a anchor for the roots over the years. I decided to not use the plastic bag as I wanted the shell to be as in contact with it's surroundings as possible, also, I didn't find it in a plastic bag so it wouldn't be the same.
